The Fur Country by Jules Verne

After Lieutenant Jasper Hobsen establishes a fur trading post in the Canadian Arctic, an earthquake breaks off their fort, Fort Hope, from the mainland, trapping him and his men on a massive ice flow. Drifting towards the Arctic Ocean, they must use their resources to escape from their gradually shrinking ice prison, while hoping for a rescue that may not reach them on time.
