The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence.

Brother Lawrence was a monk in the Carmelite order and his method and approach of entering into and remaining in the Presence of God can be can be found in this classic of Christian spiritual literature.

Brother Lawrence’s conclusion is that all work is pleasing to God and that we can all be one with God if we do our work with awareness, heart and love. We do not need to do great things to please God. Little things done with love are the hallmarks of a true friend of God. In that sense, the labourer is as valuable toGod as a priest.
