Bobbie, Peter, and Phyllis’s father is falsely accused of espionage and imprisoned. The family is then forced to move from their fancy London home to a small cottage near a railway. There, the children have many adventures, and befriend an “Old Gentleman” who eventually helps to prove their father’s innocence, leading to a happy family reunion.
